I never understood why, but I was always the girl who stood out. The quiet, 'antisocial' one. That was only in elementary school. Over the years, it grew worse. The names got harsher, rumors were spread, and everyone believed them. Everyone, except one girl, Vivian Bay Prince. She was the nice one, the girl I called my protector. She stood up for me since 6th grade when we met. Now, we're both 17. Seniors in high school, and still standing beside each other.
Finding the will to go on everyday was difficult, though, even with Vivian beside me. I don't know what started it, but they all despised me. I couldn't stand the dirty looks and whispers.
I remember the day I found out, even if it was so long ago. Vivian told me.
"Renée, there's something I need to ask you, somewhere private, if possible?" she said, sounding frightened.
"Okay," I said skeptically, and followed her into the girl's bathroom.
"You know that girl, Kiley Jackson?"
I nodded.
"She's spreading around a rumor that you've been... doing things to get money."
"What things?!"
"I... I don't want to say. It's just so horrible," she replied, her eyes starting to water.
I wrapped my arms around her and told her it was alright. For once in my life, I was finally the comforter.

Renée's Story
First of all, I'd like to say that Renée is a fictional character, and her story is not true; COMPLETELY fictional. Any similarity to real names of people or situations are purely coincidental.
This blog is basically to share her story. I love writing, and for some reason today, I just thought up Renée and thought it would work... who knows, let's see. :)
Chapter 1 coming soon.
*Also, I do not take credit for any photos that are used in the blog. Credit goes to the rightful owners.
**One last thing: I will be writing in first person as Renée, in case you didn't notice.
